Home > Comunity Infrastructure > Umtshibi Camp – Classroom Renovation

Our partnership with the Umtshibi Camp community recently saw the renovations of their pre-school take place. The camp is located inside of Hwange National Park and is home to the headquarters of the park’s Wildlife Management Unit. We have partnered with this community in helping with the establishment of a modern-day pre-school that meets the requirements of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary education. The goal is that the school will be equipped to meet all educational needs of the infants and thus allow the Park teams to fully focus on their core work of conserving and protecting the environment and particularly the wildlife in the National Park.

Through the support of our UK ambassador Ellie Bamber, we have now started the renovations of Umtshibi Pre-school and its looking great. The renovations which have covered toilet block upgrades, fencing, putting a lawn and repainting is supported by funds sourced through our partnerships and guests from African Bush Camps who have visited the school.
