An eco-music, co-creation workshop held in Mambanje Village to inspire and celebrate conservation projects

Over the month of September 2018, a piece of music was inspired, composed and recorded within the remote village of Mambanje in Zimbabwe. The song was created by the community, for the community, to highlight and inspire holistic practices and a union with the natural environment in the area. These communities live on the border of Hwange National Park, a critically important conservation area in the region.

The production and recording of this song was made possible through a collaboration with the talented crew at Conservation Music. Their process is to spend dedicated time understanding projects and people within identified communities along their eco-music workshopping expeditions and then co-creating with them to produce meaningful pieces of music to be used as something of an “anthem” for the conservation initiatives dotted through the African continent.
