Botswana Sewing Group Stocks Up from Australian Contribution

The Krueger Family, who have become immense supporters of our work since their first safari experience in Zimbabwe in April 2018, returned to explore Botswana. Through Pack for a Purpose, they had an idea of meaningful contributions they could bring along with them from Australia to contribute to projects in the area when staying at Linyanti Ebony Family Camp in the Chobe area.

Our Project Officer in the area, Ibo, said; “A 14kg bag full of sewing equipment was all excitement and hope-filled contribution for the group. This donation will indeed encourage and empower their work as an income-generating project in the area.”

The Krueger Family said; “We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. From the drive to the village, meeting the whole group, find out more about what they do, handing over the items and the bush picnic on the way home. It was the perfect end to the perfect trip”.

Trying out the graduation uniforms the group are producing for local schools in the area. The first time locally produced uniforms are able to be purchased, without having to make the long journey from Kasane (ramping up the price due to transport costs).
